Heavy Duty Weed Puller Tool

Excellent. Well designed simple and makes sense. Not sure about the 2 piece handle as it bolts together and imo that is a weak point. However it seems to very easily remove the weeds with little flex from the handle.

This product doesn't grip the weeds. It just closes around it and its stiff. I missed the window to return it.

It is nice to have the handle separate for shipping, but once it's together I'd prefer a solid handle. The weeder works well as designed for weeds that are straight and not too tall, like dandelion. I found Canada thistle difficult since it's necessary to step the prongs in where the tap root is, but you can't see the base because the plant is in the way, or the root is at an angle. That's not the fault of the weeder, just a limitation on this type of design.

Aside from the handle, the tool seems solid. I wish there was more than one screw holding the handle to the base, but so far it's holding. As far as a being able to weed without bending over I would recommend giving this a try.

This weeder works pretty well, but due to the way that the tines are designed to grip onto the root it takes extra work to remove the weed after you pull it out of the ground. There is no quick release mechanism like some other weeders have. This extra grip is likely a benefit in terms of weeding success, but is something to keep in mind as far as the amount of movement and work required while weeding.

The bamboo pole comes in 3 sections, for shipping, that bolt together. The quality of the pole is really nice. I just wish it was a little longer, either each section could be a few inches longer or add a fourth section. I'm 5' 11" and if I used this in a long weeding session my back is going to be killing me.

This came separated but was simple to put together. The entire product is quite strong and sturdy with some weight to it. I wouldn't say it's heavy. It was fairly intuitive on how to use, but I double checked the listing before starting. I didn't find the assembly instructions helpful for how to use it.

I tried this out on some large, medium, and small weeds in a mulched area. It slides into the ground easily when you step on it. However, the prongs are not long enough to reach deep taproots. It can also miss pulling smaller roots entirely. I would need to weed more often with this object, compared to manual weeding. I needed to clear the pincher of mud regularly since the ground was wet.

For those that can't kneel for extended periods of time, this works well enough. For those that want a weeding option that is easier on the back to switch off with manual, this works. It would be especially useful if you need to quickly pull up weeds before an event and only need the yard to look presentable. For those that want those deep roots out entirely so they don't have to weed as often, find another product.
