Considering that this is a very inexpensive pair of gardening snips, the quality is acceptable.
I wouldn't use these snips for bonsai work, but they're quite acceptable for deadheading flowers and that sort of task.

As with any garden tools, you should keep these clean to avoid spreading disease to other plants.
I don't think these will maintain an sharp edge as well as higher quality snips, but you should be fine if you use them for the appropriate garden tasks.
Work great for smaller leafy plants like basil. Locking mechanism works very smoothly. The weight of them doesn't suggest that I'd want to use them on anything too thick or heavy but for pruning herbs and aromatics it's great.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:
Initially I liked the Craft911 Store pruning snip. They're a sharp snip but mine are defective. The black slide part that locks it closed does not stay in position. Will slide forward when in use and not allow the snips to totally cut. I did finally have to cut the sliding lock mechanism off so I could use the snips without interference. Downside is that the snips stay in an open position at all times and storage caution is needed - bummer.
My husband gave this to me for my birthday. So cute and functional. The tools are really good quality and comfortable in your hands. I love this kit!
